2022 Gen Z Trends Summit & Insights Report

 

In 2022, Google was interested in not only better understanding the current state of Generation Z, but also to take one step further and look forward at future trends that are being driven by this younger audience.

What began as an insights-gathering task evolved into ‘Thread Count’: a day-long insights summit for 40+ marketers across Google Brand, Creative and Media teams, in partnership with our cultural agency, Cashmere.

We invited 14 expert speakers across fields — from content creators to college students, disability rights activists to fin-tech founders — to share their perspectives on the future of Gen. Z trends. The majority of them were Gen Z themselves. Conversations covered the hottest topics of the moment, from creativity in the Metaverse to shifting definitions of romantic and financial freedom.

Project Responsibilities:
As the project lead, I supervised all elements of the program, which included:

  • Defining the learning agenda

  • Managing agency relationship

  • Overseeing event production and logistics

  • Reviewing all speakers

  • Preparing discussion guides

  • Synthesizing and overseeing takeaway reports
